John was one of the founding members of Waveney Ramblers. In fact it is probably fair to say that without him, Waveney Ramblers may well have not existed.

He did much stirling work for our group and was a prolific walk leader. Unfortunately, in the fairly recent past, he got dementia and lost the ability to recognise lifelong friends. Dementia can be cruel and he spent his latter days in a nursing home. In death he will be reunited with his late wife Sybil.

INVITATION

The family would be delighted to welcome ramblers who knew John to attend a "life celebration" at the Waveney House Hotel, Puddingmoor, Beccles at 3 p.m. Drinks and nibbles.
