New member, non member and guest walkers are very welcome including visiting travellers.
Our insurance covers non member guests for three FREE "try-us-out" walks. After that, we'd ask you to join Ramblers.
Members can walk with any group in the country. There are 600 to 1000 walks per week nationally.
Our walks are free but we ask for a donation if we park at a village hall or a church. A pound per car is typical. Some groups ask 50p per person per walk to cover their running costs. Normally there's no need to book or phone but please check the programme. Please just turn up and say hello to the walk leader.
Occasionally we use pay-and-display parking.
Our walks are from 4 to 12 miles. For people new to walking or recovering from injury or illness, this might be too much. In this case, try Ramblers' Well-being Walks. These are shorter, slower and safer. Non members are welcome on wellbeing walks.

Dogs: Most of our walks are not dog friendly. If we get volunteer leaders for dog friendly walks, we'd love to add these to our existing programme. Registered assistance dogs are welcome by arrangement with the walk leader.
And finally, please re-check the programme just before you set out. Occasionally we need to make last minute changes due to floods, weather, road closures or other unexpected circumstances. These are announced on the website and on our Facebook group.
Please mail Neil for website updates.
