The Bigod Way follows the popular Bath Hills route with footpaths south of Bungay. The map shows a short branch onto an island in the Waveney. This is worth a visit and bird watchers might see a kingfisher. This spot is used by wild swimmers. The Waveney bridge in Earsham is closed due to collapse. The track log shows a 100 metre diversion to the open-access land. This looks as though it's well used but sadly it's not legal. The official diversion is a bureaucrat's solution. It covers the official "backside" but the covering is sadly transparent. The bridge might be repaired in 2020.
