Meet at Guia de Isora
Contact: Neil 01986 893023 or 07411 811093

Please book your own travel, accommodation and insurance for a stay during the 28 day window.

Guia de Isora is a small town 600 metres or 2000 feet above sea level. There are shops, bars, a bus station and an olympic size swimming pool.

There are plenty of circular walks from the town. All the routes include steep gradients but the rocky lava paths, gravel tracks and tarmac lanes are good for walking.

Downhill there are farms and banana plantations. Uphill the pine woods start. Using local buses, many more walking routes are opened up.

Day time maximum temeperatures in January are typically 19C and a bit warmer on the coast. Sometimes clouds form at around 4000 feet and the pine woods become cool and foggy.
